Chapter 01 · Our Story

Founded in 2017, growing with purpose ever since

King's School began with a simple belief: that children in Erbil deserve an education that is both academically excellent and deeply human. From our first classroom, we set out to combine the strength of the Ministry of Education curriculum with the breadth of British Oxford Curriculum enrichment.

Today, across three campuses, thousands of students learn in modern classrooms, real science and technology labs, and a safe, caring community — from their first year of Kindergarten to their final year of High School.

“Welcome to King's School. Every child who joins us becomes part of a family that believes in their potential.

Since 2017, we have built a school where academic ambition and genuine care go hand in hand. Our students follow the Ministry of Education curriculum, enriched by the British Oxford Curriculum, and learn in modern classrooms and real science and technology labs — but what I am most proud of is the character they build along the way.

We believe parents are partners. Through our Open Lessons Project and open communication, families see real teaching and share in their child's journey. Together, we help every student grow into a confident, kind and capable young person.
